Arrival in St Petersburg. Transfer to A hotel Fontanka***/Azimut St Petersburg****. Accommodation since 14:00.
Breakfast. St Petersburg city tour during which you will see places related to Romanov’s family and main sights of the city: St. Peter and Paul Fortress where the Romanov family IS buried (inside visit), Smolny, Kschessinska’s mansion, Rasputin apartment on Gorokhovaya Street etc. In the afternoon guided visit to the Winter Palace (Hermitage museum).
Breakfast. Transfer to Pushkin. Tsarskoye Selo tour with the visit to the Catherine palace and possibly visit to the Alexander palace, residence of Nicholas II (palace is under reconstruction, may be opened by summer 2018).
Breakfast. Guided visit into the Yousoupov palace to view the place where the most famous and rich noble family of Russia lived and visit the rooms where Rasputin was murdered. In the afternoon Faberge museum tour.
Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to the train station. Departure by Sapsan sitting train for Moscow. Arrival in Moscow. Moscow city tour during which you will see places related to the last Russian tsar and main sights of Moscow: Peter En Route Imperial palace where he stayed with his family, Christ the Savior cathedral, Sparrow hills etc. Transfer to hotel Budapest****/Cosmos***. Accommodation.
Breakfast. Moscow metro tour. Kremlin tour (grounds, cathedrals, Armoury). During the tour you will visit on the territory of Moscow kremlin Assumption cathedral where the last Russian tsar was crowned and in the Armory you will see personal things and presents of Russian tsars.
Breakfast. Transfer to Sergiev Posad. In Sergiev Posad you will visit Trinity Sergius Lavra, spiritual center of Russian orthodox church which was visited by Russian tsars as well as by the last Russian tsar’s family. In Sergiev Posad you will also visit the National Museum of Toys where among the exhibits there are notable toys belonging to the children of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II. These toys came to the museum from former royal palaces of St. Petersburg and the Crimea. Lunch. Transfer back to Moscow.
Day 8 (even days):
Breakfast. Check out. Tretyakov gallery tour. Transfer to the train station. 16:40 departure by train for Tobolsk.
Arrival in Tobolsk at 08:12. Breakfast. Tobolsk city tour: you will see Romanovs’ house (where they stayed during exile in Tobolsk), catholic church, bone carving studio, kremlin, governor’s house, prison castle. Transfer to hotel***. Acccommodation.
Breakfast. Check out till 12:00. Tour to Abalak (20 km from Tobolsk): Abalak monastery (visited by Rasputin and Nicholas II and his family), Abalak wooden castle (reconstruction of a typical Siberian stockaded town of Yermak times). Lunch. Transfer to Tobolsk. Free time. 22:47 departure by train for Yekaterinburg.
09:36 arrival in Yekaterinburg. Excursion “Revolutionary Ekaterinburg” (incl. city tour)
After the Tsar Nicolas II abdicated, Ekaterinburg was engulfed in revolution activities. During excursion, we will visit the places connected with revolution, such as: Cathedral Square (later renamed in Square 1905) that witnessed continuous rallies; the Opera House, where the political meetings took place; the first CheKa building, where the decision to kill the tsar was taken; the Officers’ Community center, CheKa neighborhood, Yakov Sverdlov monument and others. In addition, tourists will learn a bit of the city history and will visit the Dam – the heart of the city. Lunch
The cathedral was constructed on the site of destroyed Ipatiev’s House, where the last tsar and his family were shot. On the ground floor there is the memorial room, reconstructed in the exact place where the execution room used to be.
Tsar museum in Patriarchal Representation
The constant exposition of the museum displays photographs, documents and other objects of the Tsar Family. For example: knitted blanket that four sisters made for their brother, a mended glove of a tsar daughter that proves that sisters were needlewomen and did not prefer luxury, congratulating cards, letters, children’s drawings and photos.
Transfer to hotel Moskovskaya Gorka****/Marins Park Hotel*** (no transfer as opposite train station).
Road to Alapaevsk town 150 km, it takes 2,5 hours.
On the 20th of May 1918 by the special order of the Ural Deputy Union Grand Dukes and a Grand Duchess of Romanov dynasty were brought to Alapaevsk. They spent almost 2 months here.
During excursion, tourists will see the places related to the common life of the royal members. At first, we visit “Napolnaya shkola” it is a former building of the village school, where Romanovs lived. Now there is memorial room devoted to them.
Alapaevsk Monastery of New Russian Martyrs, that was built near the mine where royal members were killed.
Saint Trinity cathedral, that Grand Dukes and Grand Duchess attended with pleasure. Later their bodies were buried in the crypt of this cathedral until being transported to China. Lunch. Transfer to Ekaterinburg.
Breakfast. Europe-Asia border. There is a tradition in the Urals: to visit the cultural and historical complex “Europe-Asia” – the symbol on the open space, the synthesis of two civilizations. The complex is situated on the 17th km away from Yekaterinburg. This place, on the watershed of the rivers Iset and Chusovaya, is the very border line between the two continents. Our tourists will have an opportunity to put one foot in Europe and the other one in Asia.
The obelisk can be visited on the way to Ganina Yama. The Monastery Complex “Ganina Yama” was built on the place of the extermination of the tsar family bodies. It is situated 20 km away from Yekaterinburg. Monastery chapels were constructed according to the Old Russian technology – without a nail, and most of the Icons are unique and wonder – working. The complex became the place of spiritual attraction for the orthodox Christians of the world, especial on so-called “Sorrow Days”. Museum in Ganina Yama. Lunch. Transfer to Yekaterinburg.
Breakfast. Check out till 12:00. Transfer to the airport.
